MILLIE BOBBY BROWN AND DAVID HARBOUR CAUGHT IN MAJOR CONTROVERSY AHEAD OF THE FINAL SEASON OF STRANGER THINGS
Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour face growing controversy just weeks before the final season of Stranger Things. Tension between the stars casts a shadow over the conclusion of Netflix’s hit series.
British actress Millie Bobby Brown has reportedly filed a formal complaint against her co-star David Harbour for alleged harassment and intimidation during the filming of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, according to the Daily Mail.
With the Netflix premiere set for November 26, the allegations have sent shockwaves through fans and the entertainment industry alike. According to the British outlet, the 21-year-old actress submitted “pages and pages” of documents detailing behavior that made her feel uncomfortable on set. The internal investigation reportedly lasted several months, and while the case does not include claims of sexual misconduct, Netflix has not commented on the outcome.
Sources cited by the Daily Mail said Brown requested a personal representative to be present during her scenes with Harbour. The measure was reportedly implemented throughout production of the final season, in which their characters Eleven and Chief Jim Hopper share a father-daughter dynamic on screen.
The 50-year-old American actor, known for his role in the series and his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, now faces one of the biggest controversies of his career. Born in White Plains, New York, Harbour has earned two Emmy nominations and three SAG Awards for his portrayal in Stranger Things.
His career includes roles in Brokeback Mountain, Quantum of Solace, and The Newsroom, as well as recent films like Violent Night and Black Widow. He is set to return to Marvel in Thunderbolts (2025) and has been confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday (2026).
Brown’s complaint comes at a turbulent time for Harbour, who recently separated from British singer Lily Allen after four years of marriage. In her new album West End Girl, Allen references infidelity and emotional struggles during their relationship.
Harbour has been open in the past about his mental health, including his bipolar diagnosis and recovery from alcohol addiction at age 24. In 2021, he described his bond with Brown as “a special relationship,” saying he felt “a strong protective instinct” toward her.
The dispute emerges just as Stranger Things approaches its long-awaited conclusion. Since its debut in 2016, the Netflix phenomenon has captivated global audiences, following a young cast that matured on screen.
Although no public statements or evidence have been released by either party, the story has fueled speculation on social media. The absence of joint appearances between the two actors during the show’s promotion has further intensified rumors about tensions on set.
Netflix declined to comment on the investigation. Stranger Things 5 will premiere its first part on November 26 and conclude on December 31, amid mounting anticipation and controversy surrounding its lead cast.
